It had to happen. I knew it would eventually. I put some chicken wings in to the oven to bake. A few minutes later i heard a BANG, or sort of the sound like a pan falling or something. Go out to the kitchen to investigate. Nothing on the floor. I open the oven to find...

That used to be the frying pan lid. Glass. It was on the top oven rack right under the grill element. Which of course comes on and off to keep the oven up to the temp. Probably on fairly steady as i hadn't heated up the oven first. Shattered and there's glass all over my wings and the bottom of the oven. Oh well. I'll wait for it to cool off to take it off the rack and clean up the oven. Luckily the oven "floor" is covered in tin foil so it won't be too difficult to get up all the glass. Even tempered glass can still break into big chunks under the broiler element.
