Nov. 2nd, 2007 11:24 amNo Friday five today, it's all just about Halloween stuff. Boring.
Weather is going to be absolutely vile tomorrow. Tropical storm. Hope it doesn't rev up to hurricane status. Think i need to go to the grocery store after work along with thousands of others, no doubt.
Work is chuntering along nicely. Making progress and all that. Stupid little things keep roadblocking me but they aren't insurmountable frustrations, just annoyances, just stuff that is part of the programmer's every day life (syntax, typos, null pointer exceptions etc.)
Gym last night was good. I've not got a great surge of energy but i do feel differences. Legs are stronger, i'm not huffing as much or for as long at the top of a staircase. It's all good. Doctor says i should keep my heart rate between 130 and 140 when i'm doing cardio work but if the meters on the treadmill are correct, if i'm in that range, i'm hardly moving it seems. And that feels like i'm not really doing anything more than a slow stroll so my rate tends to be in the 140s. I suppose as i get a little fitter, that will come down to where it should be at the same level of exercising.
Leaving 2 weeks from tonight! W00t!!!

Date: 2007-11-02 09:16 pm (UTC)i remember when I first started at nubody's, I could really feel the treadmill and it didn't take long to get up to around 145 which was my target thing. My trainer told me to not go above that rate.
As I continued, I found in order to get it up there, I had to either walk faster or better yet, up the incline. To see that kind of progress is encouraging.
