2 questions for anyone that saw last night's UK Corrie broadcast. CONTAINS SPOILERS for you Canadians or others that don't want to know.

1. did Richard tie everyone to the seats of the van or were just their hands (and feet?) tied? the kids, while waiting for Richard to bring Gail could have climbed to the front seat to trip the locks as their fingers were obviously free enough later on to work scissors. Couldn't they or Gail have fought him anyway? All three of them could have launched themselves against Richard somehow if they weren't tied to the seat. Ok that was more of a pedantic rant and one of those suspend disbelief for the plot's sake things i guess.

2.how did they get into the garage without anyone seeing? The mechanics were right there and the garage door opens on to that space. There does'nt seem to be a door to the garage from inside the house. Is there one into it from the back yard/passage? All i have to go by is the visual updates (now on the ITV home site) and i won't get to see it for 6 or 7 months.

I think I've found a kindred spirit!! lol! Just kidding. I don't watch Coronation Street, but I've tend to notice things like that in movies and pick them apart.

I'm not usually like that with movies but i am with Corrie and soaps where day to day continuity is more of an issue! :) Unless it' smacks me upside the head LOL!

There is a door from the kitchen to the garage, Richard led Gail through it to get to the garage. You can just see the open door in shot when the camera was on them sitting on the front seat. This does rather beg the question of how he was going to fill the garage with fumes with the house door open!

I think the kids legs were tied together, and possibly he held Bethany as a hostage to get them to behave, or told them that he had Gail tied up elsewhere to get them to stay still.

I still think it's odd that neither Kevin or the new bloke heard the engine running, even if they were busy at work.

Yeah, and pedantic ol' me wonders why on earth Gail wouldn't have changed the locks and the alarm code too. That's the first thing I would have done. Or did she, and I just missed that part?

the police did apparently. When she went out last time, she forgot to turn on the alarm but i still wonder if the locks were changed, how he got in. Without seeing it, i guess we'll have to wait. i'll ask some of my UK friends.
