Here's a gruesome story for you. A man on a Greyhound bus that was traveling from Edmonton to Winnipeg here in Canada seemed to suddenly go beserk, started stabbing his seatmate and then decapitated him! Police Sargeant archly comments "It’s not something that happens regularly on a bus". Seemed like the man wasn't even in a rage, it was just methodical, unemotional, as he stabbed repeatedly and then carved up the body. The attacker only just got on the bus in Brandon, Manitoba, and hadn't even been sitting by the victim for the first hour or so. The victim had been on the bus since Edmonton, Alberta and appeared to be about 19 or 20. It's pretty rare for something like that to happen in Canada so it's made front page headlines across the country. A bus company spokesperson said "bus travel is the safest mode of transportation".

OMG, now I am going to be REALLY reluctant to ever get on the bus again! What a horrible thing to happen! I can't believe nobody tried to stop the guy. I mean, surely it took more than a few seconds for all that to happen!

Well it *was* a long distance bus, not a city type transit route. Let's face it, a man wielding a knife stabbing someone repeatedly over and over. *I* wouldnt try to stop him, would you?

No, not by myself but good heavens, there must have been more than three people on the bus, surely. You hear of groups subduing whackos on planes a lot. Someone could have chucked a coat over his head and blinded him maybe. Or hit him with a suitcase.
