Corrie in Canada this week

Peter “I don’t know if I’ve got the strength after changing a wheel” Shelly wanting rumpy pumpy, replies “As long as I don’t have to use a jack!” Doctor to Richard “She’s a very lucky woman (Audrey)” Richard “isn’t she just.” (foiled again) and lastly Kevin “Vera thinks you’re acting posh if you put two binbags out!”
What a rollercoaster of a show today wasn’t it???
David’s joke about “taking Gran out” didn’t exactly strike Richard as funny did it? Richard removed the batteries to the smoke detector so I’d say that looks like premeditation more than hoping to scare Audrey. This is more than just a spur of the moment shovel to the head. And then, out of the hospital, now that Richard has hold of her medication we could probably say she’s gone from the fire into the frying pan! He tries to isolate her from her friends, has Gail and Audrey both thoroughly convinced Audrey is in the throes of Alzheimer’s and the more Audrey gets upset, the more she makes hysterical accusations that Richard is trying to kill her for her money, the more it looks to the outsider that she really is ill. What stellar acting though!!!
Cracks are appearing in the Watts marriage. If Curly feels as strongly as he does than Emma *is* going to have to be the one that makes more time for her family in the future. The new family seem a bit unsettled. What a welcome to the neighbourhood though, Frick and Frack from next door giggling and grinning like fools over a cup of sugar and then Doreen throwing a wobbly over the divorce papers in front of them. They do seem to get on well as a family though don’t they? But this forbidding of communication with Katy’s friends and remarks about “moving again” are troubling. What’s their secret I wonder (well I know but I can’t say now, can I! )
Oh that Peter it just gets worse!!! Treats Shelly like a queen and then tells Lucy the weekend was horrible and he spent it thinking of her. Goes from one bed to the other. Justifying his actions by presuming that women are just as unfaithful as men, all of them. Lucy got her own back a bit and she *should* be allowed to see whoever she wants if Peter is living a double life as well. He can’t have it both ways though he wants it that way. I think the “kick his ar$e” lineup forms here, ladies and gentlemen. All who are appalled at his behaviour and think he needs a smack, take a number, one at a time, now, you’ll all get your turn!
Jack’s Back!!!!! Funny watching him hide from Vera in the bookie’s. Like she said to Peter, what the eye doesn’t see…. LOL And Karen apparently was enthralled with her hero ALL NIGHT. LOL! Vik’s getting in deeper, taking coins won from a fruit machine to place a bet and stealing money from the business. Audrey gets out of the hospital and she is wearing the same top she wore the night of the fire? Wouldn’t her clothes all reek of smoke? That’s a fast cleaning job if so.
Oooh it was a good’un. Even though I hate the Peter/Lucy thing, all the storylines today were interesting, and the main one was riveting! I can hardly wait for next week. Will Archie believe Audrey? Is Richard losing control of her? Stay tuned…..
