As much as I hate winter, I hate the start of it even more because it takes that long to get used to the cold and damp again. Brrrr.r.... There's almost a windchill factor as well which makes the cold seep right to your bones.
Went on a volun"told" course yesterday morning about Thriving with Workplace Change. Pretty apt since we're just going through our second or third reorg in nearly as many years. Sheesh. I say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Ultimately they will want to change it up again and i'm sure i'll see one or two more before I retire.
My mom, sister and I are going to see Catching Fire tomorrow. We've all read the Hunger Games books and liked them and liked the first movie. I've heard pretty good things about this one, too.
There's also a Very Goth Christmas sale at the Forum in the smaller building where they have Bingo. Goth, Steampunk and all kinds of oddball and unique things on sale there apparently. Gonna try to go if I can get my mom's car or if she'd like to go with me.
I've got Fridays off from now to Chirstams to use up my vacation days. Nipped out to the post office to pick up two things, one I have to return. It's from Amazon but I can't just Return to Sender, I have to include a return notification inside and use a label they give you to print for it. I didn't realize how big the book was going to be and it's going to cost me a fortune to return it. I should have picked the return option where Amazon takes 5 dollars off the refund amount. It's too late now. I'll know for next time. I might only break even!
