Sunday on Coronation Street (Canada)
Jul. 14th, 2002 02:27 pmLine of the day goes to Hazel describing the usual mini-cab driver "Middle aged, overweight and their dice dangling!" Dev had a good one too when the lads were comparing a new girlfriend to a new sports car and he commented "especially with the top off" :)
What's wrong with Les? He's normally delighted at a free pint! He took the news about Janice well though. And she would never have moved anywhere without telling Toyah. That just didn't ring true. Janice's hair looked worse than usual though. Hope that job at a caff requires a hairnet or she'll put the punters off their eggs. Was Anita trying to help Ken and Deirdre's marriage or instigate something? She really does have the potential to be a stalker i think. Surprised and pleased that they didn't go down that road. It would have been just the kind of sensationalism they had been espousing over the last few years. Maybe things really are changing for the better!
I hope the shop closes early on Sunday. Deirdre was home and Dev and Sunita were both in the pub all at the same time. What Fred said? "Clan go-gurgle spit-len"? that's how you pronounce the little town Llangollen in Wales. Pretty spot too. Oh i do like Peter and Shelly together. And he cooks! How very symbolic, a smoking candle ;) Poor Sam really does know how to pick his moments. He just never go this full share of the Perception Pie did he poor lad. Never did think they would last as a couple.
Karen must have taken a paranoia pill and something tells me Sunita could take her on in a fair fight if need be. Still waters and all that. Karen's usually pretty bad but this week they're really taken her to wicked witch of the north extremes. She is going to scream Steve right out of that marriage. He tries and tries but she's just not reasonable is she?
Wahey looks like Vik struck lucky. Too bad Hazel seems to be just a bored rich housewife, with probably a very nasty husband. So Duggie leaves a load of cash in a safe in his flat. And it only opens with a key not a combination. And Richard knows about it. That *has* to mean something bad. And did it seem to you that a lot of the residents lost out on the Chuckle Chops competition? Sam, Tyrone, Karen, Steve, Bobbie, Toyah.... sheesh!
That's it for today. Not a lot to cheer about but things are being set up and put into place for a few storylines i think.
