Corrie events of the week
Jul. 6th, 2003 10:49 amLine of the Day: Quite a few that I wrote down…1. Steve “When one door closes, another one cuts your fingers off” 2. Audrey and Richard .. “Thanks for the ride” “Thank *you* for the ride”… along with a Judas kiss? Chilling wasn’t it! 3. Peter “I’m not a man with a death wish! (i.e. Sunita reminding him to buy a ring for Shelly! But considering his double life one does wonder.) 4. Blanche “I thought she (her friend that sent the card) were dead.” Deirdre “Postmark should be interesting, then” 5. Peter to Blanche on Christmas day “We want you to stay, besides, nobody else wants you!”
Merry Christmas. No really. CBC…SHAME!
You gotta love Karen … Sell the car, pay off the tax bill and have a little left over for her! *chuckle* Guess we’ve seen the last of the Yorkshire hit man. Pity, he was really effective! I think we need to set him on Richard and see how *he* likes being on the receiving end of threats! Steve’s got a right to be really narked at Vik, it’s a wonder them darts didn’t go right through the board!
Very interesting seeing Audrey bait Richard. It must be very satisfying in some ways even if she blew it when she got caught in the house. Miss Marple she’s not. Lights blazing indeed. Gail and Richard should have seen them from down the street but no Gail didn’t notice until she came inside. And since Gail thinks Audrey is sick, why did she go off on one when she found Audrey in the house? Instead she *should* have put it down to Audrey’s illness, not treat her like a leper. Most people would be upset but worried and sympathetic that Audrey’s “episodes” were returning but that wouldn’t make for good tv conflict would it :( Audrey has now told a few people but they don’t seem to believe her. I’ll bet Norris will though. Anyway it looks like Richard has turned his evil eye on Emily now the bank has tightened the screws and only given him a month before bankrupting him. To quote the media, I think the next few weeks are going to be “gripping”. ;)
Katy doesn’t look too impressed with her new Saturday job does she? And think back, Tommy didn’t want to go to the job center when Kevin’s job was on offer and now he didn’t have much trouble signing up for the dole after getting sacked. Continuity fairies? Or just the writers winding us up before? And isn’t Blanche always a little ray of sunshine? Sunita’s so nice and she’s pretty too. She could be the center of attention in a party full of sailors. From what I had heard I was afraid Dev would be condescending to her when she tried to talk to him but he wasn’t. I think he handled it quite well on the whole. It’s a hard thing to do to tell someone you really like that friends is all it can ever be.
I laughed….. Emily needed to go to church if only to get away from Norris for an hour. Tommy not sure if he was supposed to see Katy’s bra through her new outfit or not….David having two gift lists, one for Christmas and one for his birthday and deciding Barney should get a football! …. Jason getting busted and then the lads extracting the p out of him in the pub with their rosy cheeks….. Blanche getting jealous and stalking back home…. Les’s snakeskin coat Yay!
It always makes me chuckle when I see a group around a table on tv. They all squeeze round three quarters of the table to make room for the camera. It’s necessary but it looks odd. Deirdre’s table had a place set against the camera angle but of course it wasn’t used while we saw it. Hayley and Roy are like Mavis and Derek, one without the other is like half a pair of scissors. I SO love them! Noticed Jack P. Shepherd’s (David) voice getting quite deep! And just at the end when Tracy showed up and announced she was back for good, I looked down at the newspaper and this headline caught my eye “Treatment Restores Men’s Spe*m” LOL I think that may prove to be extremely prophetic heh heh.
Ok I’m off to ping with the Halifax Downeast Streeters…. Happy pinging in Winnipeg you lot!
