Have bid on That dress. The company is apparently in India. I don't know if the dress will really go with my colouring but it's done now. It looks soooo comfy. I'll need new shoes though. In the meantime i do have ankle boots that are black leather with little heels that might work. Not really sure what style shoe would go with it and i don't do heels higher than about an inch and a half anymore. Suggestions? I don't dress up that often but this seems to be something i can dress up or down and i'll get lots of chunky silver Indian jewellry to go with it. There are a few import shops in Halifax that will probably yield something suitable :)

Oooh, good luck with the auction! As for the shoes, gosh, you could probably wear just about anything with that, from sandals to clog-type ones to flats. Perhaps the dress will be so long that the shoes will hardly show :))

Yep, i'm sure i could get away with hippie sandals in summer. I have a pair that are strappy and would be great if they weren't red lol I have black pumps and goldish bronzish pumps but i'll sort something out. Summer shoes are on sale now so i should run over to Payless or Zeller's and see what i can find cheap.

I love the dress. It DOES look comfy.
I'm definitely NOT the person to talk to about shoes. I wear one or two pairs year round until they fall apart on me then buy the same style again.... *sigh* I'm in a shoe rut...

What a beautiful dress !! I agree too that whatever way you want to wear the dress, you can match the shoes accordingly (dress up with a bit of a fancier "black" shoe, or dress her down with sandals...

Hope you get it. Liked the pants too !! I've never bid on anything on e-bay before !

I haven't bid on anything from ebay either...although I'm tempted. Just took a look through and they have tortilla presses....I've always wanted one of those..... oooooooohhhhhh....

The first time i bid on ebay was a nerve wracking experience. I still don't do it very often and i set myself a maximum bid and stick with it. If i lose out, i lose out.

How do you know even what BALLPARK to bid in ?? They must have like a minimum bid you can start at ?

yes they usually do have a minimum starting bid, usually at least in US dollars so you have to convert it in your head (Add 50%) plus shipping. You will have to pay in the currency of the seller's country or whatever is specified as well. then figure out if it's worth the price. Collectables and stuff you can't get anywhere else are up to you, really. What are they worth to you. New stuff, like dvd's it depends on the total cost and shipping whether i bother or not. It usually costs me a lot for clothes having to buy in large size stores so the bid i put in for the dress is still reasonable even with the exchange rate.

Any bid i've ever won has worked out so far. Another hint is to never bid more than you can afford to lose... just ... in ...case... Check out the seller's feedback as well.

I'm scared to even LOOK at EBay. "My name is Angela and I am an Addictive Personality...". Heck, I even put on my garlic necklace before I checked out TVOR's page yesterday ;-)
