Aug. 6th, 2003 01:21 pmFoggy... cannot see other side of harbour from my window.
Politics.. Conservatives in the province win minority government with New Democrats the opposition. Most of metro goes NDP. Oh well, at least i tried.
My social calendar was bereft for months and this week i was potentially double booked for Thursday night and my booking for Friday night may be cancelled. Am going out to dinner with a friend after work Thursday, we do this once or twice a year usually after a trip so photos are involved. Then today i get an email from a Mary Kay consultant who wants me to come model lippy for her at a consultant's get together. Thursday night. First come first served and served i will be at a restaurant instead. Friday night was a home "Fantasia" party but hostess was invited to a dinner party where her oldest friend may be in attendance and since he only gets to town once a year, she may have to put off the party. Fantasia is ...er... naughty toys and underwear. That sort of thing. They have a lovely tin of talcum powder that i'm nearly out of..yeah.. that's it...
Sis is meeting me for lunch after work on Friday (i'm off Friday) (Is that still on?)
Next weekend as far as i know i am going to Cape Breton with my friend Denise. The fog better lift before then. Be a bit tricky seeing the lovely views of the Cabot Trail if the fog is still blinding.
My head is spinning!!

Date: 2003-08-06 10:36 am (UTC)I hosted a Fantasia party YEARS ago, invited the whole neighbourhood and then some. Served a spiked punch, and by the time half the evening was over and the punch bowl was empty - can we say, hilarious ! And interesting ! Some said too much, some were too shocked (BY WHAT??) to say anything, and others were too prudish (what? do what?, doesn't THAT make you like BLIND?
Hmm... seeing double lately, note to self: make appt with eye doctor! GRIN !
Enjoy LONG weekend. Hope it's nice in CB!
Toodles.
