I bought the DVD of Chicago the other day and had a chance to watch it this afternoon. I love this movie! I walked out of the theatre barely containing my instinct to pirouhette and dance down the aisle! It's a great send up of the media and fame. Inevitably you start comparing the two leads, Catherine Zeta Jones and Rene Zellweiger. Both are good but you can really tell that Catherine has the musical background. Her voice is much better as is her dancing though Rene did a fine job. What i notice the most though is the differences between their bodies. My God Rene is so painfully underfed thin! Bones are sticking out and she looks like she'd break! Catherine is slender but has lovely curves and looks great!

Queen Latifah of course, rocks! Curves that slay you in that dress! Even Richard Gere, that really was him tap dancing and i was quite surprised at his performance singing and dancing.

Apparently the french version on the dvd even has the songs in French, i'll have to check that out too!

I still haven't seen that one - we just never go to the show or rent DVDs either :::ducks out of the way of all the invectives hurled at her::: Yeah, okay, so I am weird.

I think I just might rent Chicago though - I used to love movies like that. Thanks for the review :)
