Aug. 28th, 2003 07:41 amHave heard back from Uncle and cousin and both are agreeable to a visit in November. Already know my friend in Parksville is cool with it so all i need to do now is sort out a hotel for a night or two in "Vangroovy". The flight home leaves at 7:30 a.m. so it's a lot more convenient to be at an airport hotel. I figure i'll check in on the sunday night and have Monday for myself in Van. Have some friends and Corrie acquaintances in the area so maybe i can arrange a lunch or something with them. had a quick look on expedia.ca and airport hotels seem quite reasonably priced though the one i am leaning towards is $99 a night but it has a business center and free internet access :) Yes i know, i'm hooked LOL Now will have to do a bit of surfing to see what i'd like to do while i'm out there. November isn't the best of months weather wise but that's ok, i'm visiting for the people not the weather :)
Long weekend coming up, no plans other than to try to have a look at that tall ship. Can't believe it's going to be September on Monday!
Sun's so bright today. I'm not complaining, i'm just saying. ;) It seems strange to moan about the sun but overall it's been such a gray summer though we've had some nice days. Even some of the nice days were hazy though so when the sky is clear and sun is bright it hurts the eyes! LOL! I'm just saying....
