Let it Snow

It's snowing a bit. It was quite pretty this morning, waiting for the bus. The sky was that dark wedgewoody blue you get when it's overcast and the night blackness is just starting to lighten up. The snowflakes were falling with just enough of a breeze to make it look like someone shook the snow globe as the beams from the street lights reflected off the whirling flakes. By the time the bus got to Halifax, the sky was brighter and now the snow, when it falls, is just tiny miniature barely-more-than-crystal sized. We're supposed to get more tomorrow. That's ok, then. Once we're off the roads and settled in, it can snow all it likes, even though it will probably turn to rain.

Get into work and there's another little gift bag on my desk. That's two people this year that have given me something, albeit just a little something, mostly home made so i guess i'll have to do that next year. I think that's what i'll do with the homemade "turtles" (chocolate covered caramel, pecan and almond candy). I always have some leftover so i'll put some in little bags and bow them. Maybe find or make some little craft item to stick in too. Norma makes us that party mix with the various nuts and cereals all spiced up and she put in a little jar of home made antipasto. Yum!

Don't imagine there will be much work done today. We're off at noon and i have an open house at my cousin's apartment to go to around 4 before i head over to my parents' house. Mum has internet access so i shall be around.

Well that didn't take long.....I'm back again LOL

Just read that People magazine did a list of the top "losers" of 2002. Number one? Michael Jackson! No surprise there.

I could hear the sprog voices a little closer than usual and i turned around ... there were four of them looking up at me LOL! What can you do but say hello? I think one lad bashed into the tree but didn't damage it or himself much. There are more children here than adults but other than excited voices and one that is inclined to run rather heavily for only weighing about 35 pounds, they're fairly well behaved. Mostly they are being kept occupied on computers and drawing on white boards. 45 minutes to go then i can leave.
