The Year in Review

New Year's Eve - midday.
Good memory: 15 years ago today was the last time i saw my ex-husband face to face. Subsequent communication was via lawyers.
Bittersweet Memory: 16 years ago today my paternal Grandmother passed away at age 90.

Hmmm Tracey's fella is working tonight and he says she was going to get hold of me so perhaps she'll come up for the evening. Maybe i'll go rent a movie for myself anyway even if she doesn't come over. I have a bit of wine left and some Baileys so we should be ok. Also need to drop off my films for developing so better get my skates on if i'm going to catch the next bus.

Yay, Tracey's coming over later tonight. Her Steve is working so she's going to come up and watch some movies with me. I would have spent it online chatting with pals and i still will stop in and wish them a Happy Happy in their time zones. I got two movies, neither of which i've ever heard of, one of which looks pretty fluffy and cheesy but what the hell, and one is about Napoleon trying to escape from Elba by switching places with a look alike commoner. After the Two Towers, i need light entertainment LOL!

My mother attempted to make the pavlova recipe that i made for Christmas dinner.... 4 times. Added the sugar too early in the first two tries, Added too much sugar the third time but the fourth, she says, looks perfect. It ought to ;))))) I was afraid i was in for a rerun of the rice pudding quest. That took years until she found just the right recipe to satisfy her /ducks
