I remember the look on someone's face when they asked Dad how old he was going to be on his birthday that year and he said 100. Disbelief, and the "oh you're taking the piss".. he said no, really! I've got a twin brother and we're both 50! So Happy 140th birthday to Dad and Uncle Keith! Stopped in to say hi for a minute last night after the wake. My cousin who is also Dad and Mom's goddaughter drove Mom home and was taking me home and we ran in to say hello. I'll go over after work as well for supper. Mom's made him a banana cream pie i think, which he loves! I told her she ought to put a candle in it lol i should pick some up at the dollar store today. I have to get some gift bags anyway. And cards.

Dad's doing ok, still not much strength but he walks around the house and is eating pretty well. I think it gets him down though, he's not getting stronger that quickly and still gets weak spells and sleeps a lot but when the doctor was there last week he was pleased with his progress. he goes back to see the surgeon in August for a check up. We keep reassuring him that he's making progress but i know it's only natural to get frustrated and fed up sometimes when you feel so unlike your normal healthy strong self and have to depend on other people to do things you "should" be doing yourself, like taking care of the lawn. It'll come.
