(no subject)

Back from Mom and Dad's where i stayed for the weekend. It wasn't a bad weekend. Other than the morning coughing spell that takes it out of him a lot, Dad's relatively comfortable. Still has a bit of coughing but mostly he's pretty relaxed and he's interested in eating which is good. Yes, he's in bed all the time but he sits up and chats a bit and is alert, even gave my niece a big smile when she breezed in for a visit. The kids really cheer him up. Ryan had stopped in this afternoon before i left though Dad was sleeping at the time. I know he'll be glad to see Ryan too. Mom got out for a couple of hours yesterday with a neighbour, went to the bank and Lakeland Plant world and for coffee and pastry at a local restaurant. Did her the world of good. She brought Dad back one of the pastries which he decided to have for supper instead. Sound decision, i say :) My uncle and his son were visiting yesterday and another of my cousins today and he drove me home. I've got to get some laundry done, too.

Catching up on flist, email, Eastenders and i taped CBC Sunday this morning as it had a piece on why Coronation Street is so popular in Canada. I haven't seen it yet but i expect it will be very Toronto-centric for fan interviews and things. The hosts on the Sunday magazine show always irritate me, the woman especially and even just the intro at the start of the show came across, at least to me, as patronizing though she thought she was just trying to be funny i think. Anyway will watch that later too.
