There doesn't seem to be any middle ground with the climate control on the bus in winter. It's either full-furnace heat or freezing. Let's just say my arse is still chilly this morning from sitting on what felt like a block of ice! Believe me, with the amount of natural insulation my backside has, those with bony bums must have felt like they had the bends getting off the bus this morning.

I haven't got my National Geographic Traveler yet this month and i'm rather anxious to see it since there is a story in it called "Celtic Realm" that the photographer at the seminar was involved in. I believe the photos were shot around Scotland, Ireland and Wales, Brittany and North west Spain. I have a box full of old travel magazines and now i am going to have to go back through them to see if i can find photos that he took :) His name is Jim Richardson. There's lots of stuff on Google about him though i didn't see a personal website yet. I was under the impression he had one but possibly not since he's primarily working for National Geographic and Traveler anyway these days. I shall have to peruse some of the sites :) The Photo editor that was there was Dan Westergren who is a self confessed gadget junkie. He says he doesn't buy new stuff, he waits for the photographers to sell off all their old stuff when they go digital and buys it all second hand!

Edited: it is actually the National Geographic magazine proper and i shall go and get one this morning. I've been looking at the site for the article online and it has a nice "sights and sounds" slideshow too.

And i won! Free coffee/tea! Good odds, i think i've only purchased 2 or 3 bevvies at Tim Horton's since the contest started. :P [livejournal.com profile] lola_is_naughty ;)

The newsstand didn't have National Geographic and said they never got any in. I have seen a stack of it there in the past but the full time clerk said none came in within the last 2 weeks. Strange. Anyway, the bookstore had one copy left. The website i posted earlier with the links had more photos than the ones that are in the mag, so it's nice that you get to see a bit more that way.

Phone rings. Um, this is the chiropractor clinic... you were supposed to be here at noon for an adjustment. Ooops... i had it down for 12:30. No worries though, she fit me in for 12:45 and i booked a neck and shoulder massage for noonish tomorrow.

Broke down and bought a new wallet. I liked my old one a lot but the zip on the change purse bit broke and can't be mended. I used a little separate change purse for awhile but it's a pain in the neck. I found one in Bentley's that is almost the same as the one i have only just a little longer which means there are more card slots... i can spread out the cards a bit more instead of bulking them into just a few slots. Nice large coin area too.

My printer still isn't working. Keeps blinking orange at me. I think though, that perhaps i should check the back of the puter, maybe the cable has come loose. I hate printers.
