An absoluting spiffing evening last night, thanks to wyndancyr and i8myfish. Appetisers, movie, lovely pizza and cake! Thank you both very much!

Finally got my oven cleaned and my body is reminding me of that this morning. If i ever get to own my own stove, it's definitely going to be the kind of self cleaning that i don't have to clean myself.

US planes strafed bullets at dawn over what turned out to be a Canadian encampment in Afghanistan. One more Canadian killed by "friendly" fire and 30 wounded. A few years ago the bombed one of our patrols and killed four. Blamed a miscommunication. It's anything but "friendly". Once is an accident, two could be construed as careless. *snorting derisively* We were only supposed to be there to help them rebuild the country not get involved in a war. We need to be not there.

Oh Cool!

I've never been one to send fan mail or emails. I have gone to book signings and Corrie celeb events in a Squeee fangirl sort of way, but haven't put pen to paper or used up bandwidth to send any letters to favourites of mine. However, last month i did send a message to a chicklit author, Fiona Walker, when i found her website and i just got a message back from her and here it is, typos and all!
