Apr. 9th, 2008 09:25 amLooks like Halifax may be hosting a Paul McCartney concert in the near future. Word around work says it's almost a done deal, and the media is saying it's just waiting for Sir Paul to say yay or nay. His people have been here scouting and were apparently pleased. Halifax has lost a lot of good concerts to Moncton in the next province so are getting a bit desperate to redeem themselves. McCartney would be a coup though I wouldn't bother going because I saw him in Manchester in 2003. Even then, he wouldn't have been my first choice because I was always more of a Stones gal but my friends were going so i went too and it was a damn good concert even if we were up in the nosebleed seats in the MEN arena! I've seen him once so i doubt i'll spend over $100 to see him again, which is no doubt what the tickets will cost. Seeing the Stones was probably the best concert i've been to as well, even if it rained! Now if we could only get the likes of AC/DC or Led Zep here or even Elton John, i'd be happy! I gave up on Queen, even though they're still touring with Paul Rogers at the helm. It's just not the same without Freddie.
I've finally got my journal typed up. Now i have to edit it a bit and put it on web pages with a few photos and added links. Stay tuned.
