Aug. 31st, 2008 07:44 pmRained like hell today. Crashing thunderstorm too. So much so that i actually turned off the computer and unplugged it as it was crashing right overhead. Thankfully when it storms in the daytime i barely notice the lightening which is the bits i don't like. Don't mind the thunder booming. Like it in fact. It stopped but it's raining again now.
Meanwhile i did quite a few little tasks today including making some spaghetti sauce for the freezer, cooking a small ham to be sliced for sandwiches, some of which is also for the freezer. Got stuff together for a caesar salad for tomorrow including making real bacon bits and cooking some eggs. Cleaned the tub, washed the kitchen floor, made a grocery list for stuff i might make when Graham gets here. Am watching Pleasantville now, one of my favourite movies. Also converted some files for dvd and i'll have to burn them later too.
I tried to rip open the plastic that covered the ham with a fork. It slipped and i dug a tine into my flesh, that webby bit between your thumb and forefinger and by heck it hurts! Still is tender too, i suppose the tendon or ligament got a nasty surprise. owie! It also happens to be my left hand and I'm a lefty. It only seems to be a bit awkward trying to use a pen and let's face it, we use the keyboard a lot more.
