The Road to Coronation Street
Sep. 17th, 2010 09:02 amFirst off, happy birthday to
sprezzatoura who's off on a birthday holiday today!
Secondly, any Coronation Street fans out there that are in the UK or that practice the fine art of downloading... If you haven't heard about it, you really need to see The Road to Coronation Street, the story of how Tony Warren and Canadian Harry Elton got Coronation Street on the air in 1960. Daran Little wrote a flawless script and the casting was inspired! It's available on the BBC iPlayer for a week or so and apparently repeating on BBC4 on Saturday night. I blogged a bit about it over here with a few links to some reviews and things in there as well. I don't know if it will be shown outside of the UK but if any tv station worth it's salt that already carries Corrie has any smarts at all, they'll pick it up, (are you listening CBC???)
