Why didn't they think of this years ago?

We know that police and security wear "bullet proof" Kevlar vests and body gear. Now, apparently, there are Kevlar boxer shorts to protect men's groin area from shrapnel and the blast from land mines. A British company is making the Blast Boxers and hoping to market them to the Canadian and the British military, saying they provide significant protection against injury from a blast. They're already selling them on ebay! They won't prevent someone losing a leg from a roadside bomb but will protect the groin area where there are arteries and such (in addition to the obvious).

You know, part of me actually feels sorry for Lindsay Lohan. I know she comes across in the media like a spoiled brat with a drug habit but i remember when she was a little girl and playing a role on the soap Another World. She had bright red hair and was cute as a button. She was in the remake of the Parent Trap too and was good in that. She had the acting chops but unfortunately she's now an addict and seems to be struggling a lot. No matter how many times she's been in rehab it doesn't seem to stick. It's sad, really. I don't have a lot of regard for a lot of the young celebs that are misbehaving and having temper tantrums, whether it's due to addicitons or just a need for attention. I certainly don't have "regard" for Lindsay but i do feel sorry for the woman. I hope she manages to get her life back but i fear it's going to end up badly. Pity. She had a lot of potential when she was young.
