Jun. 20th, 2011 08:53 amI made muffins yesterday from a mix, a "Blue Menu" mix that is healthier, low fat, salt ect. I wasn't so sure how they would come out but you never know until you try. I had one still warm and thought, hmmm, not all that good for a bran muffin. But not too bad either. Then i started to laugh. Of course it wsn't very good for a bran muffin. It was a banana muffin and i'd even added some mashed banana to it! I think my brain kept thinking it was a bran mix and even though i added the bananas, my brain was still on the other track.
It reminds me of sometimes having in mind that i want a tuna sandwich. I'll go to the food court thinking of it and at the last minute decide i want egg instead. When i bite into it, i'm surprised that it's not tuna! the sudden wish for egg just wasn't strong enough to replace the previous idea of tuna i guess.
Weekend was ok, mom and i were out on Saturday for lunch and a bit of shopping. I went to Best Buy to pick up a photo order i'd placed on the Kodakgallery site. You can save the shipping and handling fee if they send it to a local branch of BB or Future Shop. I ordered 301 prints from my trip and when i went to the counter, all that arrived was an envelope with one photo in it. Wha?? When I checked at home, that's when i found out it was 301 so i reckon their machines are set up to do orders of 300 at a time if it's a large order. There couldn't be a real person manning the station or they might have slipped in the other print. Anyway, one print comes in an envelope, the 300 come in a small box, parcel post and i wasn't sure if it got sent via Canada Post or not. I think it does and wouldn't you know it? Canada Post has been doing rotating strikes and last week, the management locked them out. The government is planning to legislate them back to work this week.
