(no subject)

I am trying to copy 300,000 little files to a dvd to burn. My god it's painfully slow. The burner is external and the computer is a high end laptop but the usb is not 3.0. Because it kept freezing up, i can only copy over a few thousand at a time. Now i'm attempting to do about 30,000 and it's telling me it may take an hour. Probably not that long but it's horrible. I don't want to reconnect the external burner to the XP machine where there's a proper burning program because it means starting all over again. Gah! I just had a feeling the burner program might make things a little faster. If i go through all this agony and there burning process doens't work, i don't know what i'll do. I certainly know what i'll say, though. @$*#%^

If it does work, then i have to go through it all over again with the rest of the files since all of the 300K aren't going to fit on one DVD
