Jun. 26th, 2013 12:38 pmWhere I live there are three apartment buildings in a row. I'm in the middle one and between me and one of the others is a parking lot. That means, because it's lit up at night, I need dark curtains. It also means you hear cars coming and going and people talking on their balconies or getting in and out of cars which isn't a problem unless they're loud. It echoes off the walls of the buildings.
Now there's someone that's moved in to one of the two buildings and he drives a Harley. He goes out in the mornings and I often hear him coming back around suppertime or later in the evening though usually before 11. He isn't an asshole, gunning the engine and all that, but even gently idling in the early morning or in the night and it echoing off the walls, a Harley sounds like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse clattering beneath my window. It's going to be a long summer.
Aw... as i said, he's driving it respectfully and not making a nuisance of himself but there's nothing he can do to make it quieter and it doesn't sound like he's sitting there idling overly long. It *is* a bit annoying when it wakes me up at 8 am on a Saturday or Sunday morning but what are you going to do?
