ANd the saga of the lotto tickets has finally come to an end. I did get one possibly two more free tickets since the last time I wrote about it but the one i scratched yesterday had no winner on it so that's it. I'm quite amazed at how far i got on the initial two tickets. Usually I get three rounds at most.

Ooh. oh and i got a post office card yesterday. I bet it's my wedding dress!!! Graham has sent a couple of things as well but I think it's a few days too early for those. Even so, i may wait a few days to see if i get any of the post office cards from his things and then only have to make one trip.

I'm supposed to be moving desks at work but I still haven't heard if the cublcle where I'm supposed to go is going to be vacated any time soon. She was supposed to be informed by her manager a few weeks ago now but I haven't heard anything further. Either she's not been told or she thinks I am supposed to talk to her about it. If she's moving to mine, that is. And if that's the case, I expected her to come to me. So if that's the case, neither of us has made the move and it only proves we're both quite happy where we are thank you. Having said that, I'll probably get the word now that i've jinxed it!

I have got addicted to Orange is the New Black, long after everyone else has been. That's a Netflix created series about a women's jail based on a book. A well educated and fairly well off woman got involved with a woman who was a courier for a drug dealer and she carried some money for them once. She was named in the case by her ex lover and though it took quite a few years while the US was attempting to extradite the dealer, finally she had to spend a little over a year in prison and the book told of her experiences. I watched the first season of it and am now reading the book. So far, as expected, the series is sensationalizing it  a bit but you would figure that. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it at first but it grew on me and the characters and actors are all very good. The actress that played Captain Janeway is in it as well, forget her name now. Maeve something isn't it? I remember her when she was a very young woman in the late 70s or early 80s on a soap called Ryan's Hope.

Anyway, I've downloaded the second series and am just getting started on that as well. It always seems like, usually, the book or series that *everyone* is watching never interests me. Or, in part, i tend not to watch/read because of the hype. When I do finally get around to it, most of the time, it's not my thing so i tend to stay away from the over-hyped books/tv shows if i'm not sure i will like them anyway. I have been wrong and sometimes ended up really enjoying. Harry Potter is one case in point. I think by the time I started reading the books, they were up to book 5.  Seinfeld is another. Watched one episode of Seinfeld and didn't like it. Was told "Oh that wasn't a good one". That's happened a few times. But when Seinfeld was shown in repeats around suppertime, i started watching and caught on to it. Orange is another. They've finished two seasons though I've just started watching it. *shrug*

I don't know why I thought i wouldn't like it. I really loved the first few seasons of Bad Girls (UK series about a women's prison) when it was on one of the cable stations here. In fact, there are similarities right down to the bastard guard who really exploits the women though the one in Orange still isn't nearly as creepy and scary as Fenner from BG.

Anyway. Enough of that. (Thank God you're saying, if you're still even reading! Sorry!)

Got the turtles made. Still have a few things to wrap and I want to take them to Mom's on the weekend. Saves time as i have to work on Christmas Eve until noon. Less stuff to bring over then. Mostly what i have left to wrap is only a few things, The rest is gift cards anyway. I think i've only got to actually wrap 3 things.

Email this afternoon. Plan to trade desks with the other person. lol I knew it! Anyway, we're going to trade at the end of January. I was going to pack up before Christmas but i won't bother now. I may see what I can get rid of though. I've got a lot of old files that i'm sure can be shredded and books that can find a home on a shelf somewhere.
