What box do you get put in?
brought to you by Quizilla
Fairly accurate i think. I suppose i would probably lean towards the geek but overall the other categories this quiz laid out really aren't me. I think i'm just a nice person, intelligent if not slightly naive and maybe a bit too optimistic at times, fairly open minded, lots of friends, close family, genuine, caring, ... does it sound like i'm blowing my own horn? LOL! Well let's just say i'm ok with who i am. How many people can say that with .. ok, not 100% confidence as we all have our down days but you know...
So i have three days ahead of me (today is my flex day) and i'm sitting here in comfy lounge jammies wondering what to do with the weekend. Have a dvd i have to watch before returning it (some Canadian movie called the Last Wedding). Have watched Affair of the Necklace, a beautifully shot period movie (late 18th century just pre-French Revolution), and O Brother Where Art Thou which had a great bluegrass soundtrack and some pretty funny scenes. It starred George Clooney whom i can normally take or leave but the excellent John Turturro. Still getting to know my new dvd player. Should be receiving the dvd's i ordered from the Columbia house club in the next week or two so i will have lots to take my time and play with then. I also won a dvd of Shallow Grave on Ebay last night. The price was 16.50 USD including shipping but the fellow is in Toronto so i emailed him to see if i could convert it and send a Canadian dollar money order instead and save myself the fee for the foreign currency money order. I could even send a cheque if he's amenable but will probably just do the Money order ad people seem happier with that. Love that movie! Did i say the ones i ordered from that mail order club? Think i may have last week. Looking forward specially to Rocky Horror as i don't think i've ever seen it all the way through.
Bought some new clothes yesterday, a black tshirt with a little outline of a giraffe on it :) The matching cardy was floppy, too long arms and generally ick so i didn't buy that. The lounge jammies, some unmentionables ;) and a long sleeve cream top with a wide scoop neck, long sleeves with a little ruffle round the neck and cuffs and hem and two pairs of trousers, just plain ones but heavier material for winter. charcoal brown and black.
Mum and Dad are dropping in later and my friend Tracey and i are probably going to get together at some point as her fella is away for the weekend. She's borrowed my Corrie tape so needs to get that back before Sunday as i fill the tape and send it to Sue in Florida who doesn't get Corrie at all.
Oh and Connie sent me some Thornton's toffee chocolate! In spite of the mis-addressed package it managed to get to me! Yay! Still, when i thought i might not get it due to the wrong civic number, i whined to Rattler and he said he'd try to remember to send me some and i haven't told him i did get some after all. :) Shhhhh!
Yikes, this is getting long, i'll just go back and lj-cut it...
There. Work this week was fairly good, busy, productive. Got a new system going live on Monday so i need to log in over the weekend and clear out the test data from the files. Can't go to Transit for it becuase i have a meeting back at my office at 9:30 so i expect to be on the phone hand holding on and off for a day or so with probably a follow up meeting later in the week. They all seem pleased enough with what i've done though. The meeting on Monday is for the corporate phone book report and update screen. That fucking project WON'T GO AWAY! Jezus! It's such a small thing yet they're so pedantic about it and the things they are asking about "can this be done?" mean a fair to middlin overhall of the database, screen and report. They toss this out just before they want to print it for an official publication and distrubution but what they want will put that back a few weeks. Argh! Oh well. Won't worry about it until Monday.
And i see by the clock i should probably get dressed. If you're still reading, i'm amazed at your patience and wish you a satisfying weekend :)
