It's Tuesday. What else is there to say about that?

got a massage this afternoon, my upper back around my neck and shoulder have been nagging me lately. Then there's the 3 hour dental appointment tomorrow morning where my mouth gets assaulted with needles, drills and the like. I shall assemble a few soothing cd's tonight to take with me. They're good about letting you have your headphones on even though the noise is sometimes much louder than the music. It gives me something to concentrate on though.

Gasoline prices hit 99.9 cents a liter yesterday. ... On the *speculation* that there will be a high demand come summer!!! Speculators buy up the gas expecting there to be high demand and some shortages and that pushes the price up! As if there isn't already enough taxes and profits built into the price! I'm so glad i don't have a car. More and more i think even though i can afford one, it's just not worth the aggravation.

Think about asking your massage therapist to do some work around your jaw to loosen it up for your dental appointment. I do that when I need work and it cuts down on the post dental work jaw pain.

ok ya'll..re massages...how much are they..and do most plans cover them? I 'apparently' have some blockages that I need to get massaged out....smiles? re the myofascial thing or just a good old fashioned massage? Any suggestions? I don't want a woman to do it either...if I am gonna get some of these..I want a man's touch!!!

The full hour massage at the chiro office where i go is $77 and my blue cross plan covers up to $500 a year. Your mileage may differ (YMMD). I think Nubody's might have a massage section too as do spas and just regular massage clinics. And i'm telling ya, she might be female but she can still beat the crap out of my muscles! You'll have to call around to find places that have male RMT's (Registered Massage Therapists, they're the ones that will give you blue cross forms) You might be able to get it done at a school for less but personally, i'd prefer someone already in the business.

Car Costs

We had a huge shock yesterday when we opened the annual letter from the Dept of Transportation. Each year we renew the license and this year, the bill for Tim's car was over $300!!!! We couldn't believe it.

When we read the fine print, we saw that in reality, the renewal itself was a reasonable $33 and the other surcharges were $200 to help fund the *ahem* new monorail transportation system that "might" be built "someday" and the rest was a surcharge for something else that we'll probably never use.

So I guess the motorists here are footing the bill for a monorail which they probably won't use either. Go figure THAT one out!

Some of the offices have tv screens in the ceiling. But you can't hear very well and he's always ducking his head over yours in the way of the view and half the time, i have my eyes squeezed shut anyway lol Plus there's crap on tv in the morning. music :)))

I hear ya on the dentist front. I have my eyes squeezed shut too. Hope tomrrow is not too uncomfortable. My gum/tooth is still bothering me. There was some trouble with the stitches. I went back two days after I got them out and now I go bake again in two weeks. You were right about the stitches.

This shouldn't be too bad as there are no stitches involved. I had problems with the stitches and jaw pain last year when i had a molar extracted as well.

oh, and since I walk to work every day, I haven't even looked at gas prices. I don't think I've put gas in my car since Christmas.

Massage was brutal but my neck and shoulders were full of knots so it's a lot better today.

Lately a lot, i've really not minded not having a car between gas prices, insurance prices. I really do prefer having the money over the convenience.
