Oh, My Nerves!

tvordljI can't even say "Now i've heard of everything" because there's always someone or something somewhere pushing the envelope marked "Absurd".
You know how in tasteful restaurants there is the maitre'd, the server and the wine steward... well apparently now the latest trend is to have a "Water Steward"... Yes indeedy, a person that can complement your meal with the proper brand of bottled water!!! Can you stand it? *shakes head* I wonder if they show you the bottle and allow you to "nose" it and taste it for approval. My co-worker was telling me about this recent phenomenon and when i asked what would you order if you just wanted tap water? would that insult the snooty steward? Which leads me to ask, what would a Water Steward have to be snotty about anyway but this is Los Angeles after all. Tap water, my coworker replied, that of course would be "House Water" !
