Now that's interesting. Do you know who wrote Frankenstein? Mary Shelley, right? The James Wale version of Frankenstein is just starting here on tv. That's the one from the 1930's, some say the definitive version. I would agree. What i thought interesting is that in the opening credits the movie is listed as based on a novel by Mrs. Percy B. Shelley. She was of course married to the poet, Percy Byshe Shelley at the time she wrote it and it appears to have been published under her name, Mary Wollestonecraft Shelley so clearly the producers of the film were taking liberties.

I plan to go over to the mall to finish up my Christmas shopping later, hoping that the shops won't be so crowded if i go late afternoon. I also want to get some canvasses as i'm down to my last one and i always like to have some on hand. I know something else i need, a pencil sharpener that does thicker pencils because the ones i use for sketching on the canvasses are not skinny like normal pencils. I wonder if perhaps i could get a sharpener at a cosmetic counter as sometimes eye shadow pencils are thicker. *makes note on list*

I'm just reading a light-hearted mystery with a heroine by the name of Wollie (short for Wollstonecraft) Shelley. :)

I just finished a book called Passion, which was about the relationship between Mary and Shelley as well as a few loves of Byron and one of Keats. Fictionalized but it wasn't too bad at all.

I saw it about 15 or so years ago and I'm still trying to work it out.

As long as you can handle mindless, gratuitous nudity you'll like it. ;)

Almost anyway, just one more main pressie to get that i couldn't get yesterday. I *loathe* the malls and shops in December and unless i can go right after work whey they're tolerable, i avoid them. That's why i try to get it done early.
