gramie_dee had to miss it. I got a text from him about a half hour ago to say they were getting ready to board the plane. It's scheduled to leave the gate in about 15 minutes though knowing Heathrow, i doubt it will actually get off the ground for another 20 past that. That's ok though. Once he's in the air, i'll feel a lot more settled. He's spent the day walking around Heathrow, read one whole book and started on another he bought. He paid 15 quid in TGIFriday's for a burger meal!!! Good thing he brought some UK money as well but then again, he could always change some Canadian money back if he needed to. He would sit for awhile, drift off and wake suddenly with a stiff neck but the *bing bong* of the announcement warning would keep waking him up in any case. lol! I said, well couldn't you keep yourself entertained by people watching? He muttered something about being sick of the sight of them all ! Anyway, Travel Gods, let's get with the program.
The rental car is a small Toyota Yaris. Peppy. I am not sure i'm all that comfortable driving it, the seat needs to go back just another inch or so but i kept it because of the high price of gas here now (over a dollar a litre at the moment). Graham will like driving it though, he's used to small cars where i'm not really. It's that burned reddy-orange colour too, nice. I crammed my groceries in the little back hatch because i couldn't figure out how the back seats folded down but i saw it later.
*checks time* 7 hours. *sigh*
