tvordlj: (Doctor Who Chris)

Was it me or was the Doctor extra nasty to Captain Jack? I guess if there's that much animosity, we won't see Jack be a regular companion. I wonder if he'll choose to die in the end. [livejournal.com profile] gramie_dee and i think probably the Doctor will fix Jack's time watch thingy and that's how they'll get back to where the Master is, where he's known as Mr. Saxon. He also thinks that missing Dalek is going to show up because BBC only had the rights to the Daleks for three seasons unless they shelled out for more. And Yay for Jack though i can't imagine how he managed to hold on through the time vortex. I liked how they did bring him up to speed about Rose and why he is now immortal. I didn't watch Torchwood so i didn't know he was, just that Rose did bring him back to life. But if he got stuck back in the end of the 1800's and had to live through the 20th century, why didn't he just wait for the 1940's and pick up his own space ship from himself? ;)

Did any of you know that the Tardis had to be refueled?

I wondered if Saxon went back to that time period on purpose, and he's there before the Doctor made the appearance and picked up Martha because someone knew all about the Doctor at that time. Like he was waiting for him. Derek Jacobi was fabulous and so was John Simm as the regenerated Master. Excellent. I never saw Doctor Who aside from the very rare occasional episode so i have no history with the Master but from what i'm told, his last storyline had him on his last regeneration, practically a skeleton in a hoodie like the Emperor. So how could he have regenerated as Professor Yana (yes i know, he transfered to being human) and regenerate again? Didn't Yana say that he was found as a child with the watch and had grown up with it? How would Master be able to convert himself to a human baby? It didn't work that way when the Doctor did it. He was the same, only human. I suppose it will be explained. Hope so, anyway.

The Future Kind things were really not that involved in the storyline were they? just a bit, chasing folk, sabotage and trapping them again in the end but they weren't really crucial to the story like the monsters/villains are in some of the stories. And not very imaginative either.

And i think i know why the Doctor is eventually going to give up Martha. She's getting more and more bitter and whiny about Rose and this unrequited love/crush on the Doctor and that is going to become a problem.

I think it was a great lead in to the last two episodes and i shall wait anxiously. CBC is going to start showing season 3 tomorrow night! That makes a change from last year when they made everyone wait until October. They're showing Torchwood in October instead. Duh. No word if they're showing the Christmas special tomorrow night to start off the series or not. Knowing the dolts at CBC, i'm guessing not.
