Another new travel website, IgoUgo, where I can add tips and photos and travel journals. This one, i think, might be owned by Expedia or Travelocity. Not sure about that. My main travel tips site is still Virtual Tourist but i found this one and it's ok. Plus, you get points for the tips you add either to your own journals or to the general section for a particular place (i.e. Paris) and you get points for photos you upload. Then you can get awarded a 25 dollar gift certificate or more from a handful of different issuers once you get a minimum of 6000 points and it didn't take me long to rack up points. I just cashed in points for $50 for an amazon.ca gift cert. and i have enough for another $25 which will probably be either Amazon or Chapters.Indigo but both of those are online only, they don't send a gift card to take to the store. No matter. So. I just spent my first $50 online, with free shipping because I spent over $39. I know. I really don't need more books at this point but i can't resist! Did get a dvd though, Persuasion, one of my favourites. One book was seen on a book list on
medusa's website i think, The Secret Life of Marie Antoinette's Perfumer and possibly this one as well, but i can't remember. I wish Amazon.ca did electronics but they don't and it seems to me that amazon.com won't ship electronics to Canada.
I started a new pocket book yesterday, which i read on the bus. I still haven't finished David Starkey's Six Wives etc. I have about a half dozen or more books that i had before i started this new one, which i'd bought the other day, but this is what happens. I'll see a new book i want and it rudely jumps the queue. They'll all get read eventually.

I might be making an order from amazon.ca this week actually as I desperately want the new Sandra Gulland novel about Louise de la Valliere (it has taken her eight years to write - I remember we were emailing each other when she first started out, which seems like a million years ago now!) but amazon here is being crap and I think I might have to get it straight from source.
