Wahey!!!
A few days ago, someone in our department came around selling raffle tickets for a day off with pay, raising money for the CIBC Run for the Cure campaign. They raised $238 and *ahem* I won the day off! The manager also donated a second day off for another prize so a coworker also won a day off. Result! Now, when to take it.....

2009 Books
26. Love Hunt by Fiona Walker
This is another of her books based in the fictional Cotswolds area of Oddlode Valley featuring most of the same characters. Each of the books focusses mainly on on a few main characters with the others making guest and supporting role appearances. There's usually a couple of new faces thrown in and this book is no different. This one focusses on Trudy Cottrell who used to be a rock star and has married into the local Cottrell family. She's now at the end of a dead marraige, drinking heavily and very much at a cross roads. The book is full of all the usual suspects, getting into situations and trouble and there are lots of affairs and misunderstandings. Pretty standard stuff and if you've read her before and liked her books, you'll like this one, too. I have, i did and i did.

Next up, Julia Childs' autobigraphy,  My Life in France.

I would say the extra day off would be when Graham's here.. :) Or the day after he leaves so you won't have to go back to work right away.

I am already taking both of those days off, and switching one for a "free" day still means i have a spare. It's 6 of one half dozen of the other really.
