I'm gonna be a star!

Back at work finally. I even remembered my network password and promptly had to change it as it was going to expire! Been busy catching up but it's good to be back into my usual routine. Cold is still hanging on a bit but it's improving daily thankfully.
A couple of months ago i was contacted by someone that was doing research for a documentary in Canada on why Coronation Street is so popular with Canadian fans. I talked to her, and then my email to another person. Recently the director of the documentary contacted me and i talked to her too. The documentary is definitely being made. They've already filmed at the British Isles Show in TO and talked to the fan that one the contest for Number 1 Corrie fan in Canada. When I told the first researcher that i met my fiance through a Corrie chat room, that seems to have sparked an interest and the director wanted to know all about it, how we met, how we communicate, when we visit, if we do anything Corrie related (we do go to pings if he's here and we participated in the recent Ping weekend in Manchester!). She's going to come to Halifax in July and film one of our pings and film me! She also contacted
gramie_dee and since they'll be in Manchester, I assume doing some filming at Granada, they're going to film him too. I think they also like the idea that he's not the typical fan, not when you consider he does a web metal radio show and loves horror movies! He's not the Corrie geek i am but he has watched the show and grown up with it and lives not far from the studio. It's all very cool! I think the documentary will be on CBC in the fall.
Am working on putting my travelogue together in a web page so that will be done pretty soon. Have all my prints, now have to put them into an album (or three!). I even managed to identify most of the locations and buildings, thanks to Google streetview. Marvellous piece of work, that is! I can remember where we were, and the approximate direction we walked so i followed the route on the map and then jumped into the street view to see if i could identify where we were and most of the time i was able to tack it down. If not exactly, pretty close. Plus Google often identifies businesses and buildings by name (churches, museums, some restaurants etc) which is very useful.
