I may actually get my new curtains up today but i'm not betting on it. My mother and nephew are coming over this afternoon, she with a tin of paint and he with a drill. I have some bare wood framing that new door/window combo that needs painting and she had some leftover paint that will do. Ryan's going to put up the fixings for my curtain rod. If it's out from the window enough the curtains won't brush the paint so i might be able to put them up. Even if not, the rod will be up and i can do it myself. Mind you the curtains are still in the packages and are probably all wrinkled but the wrinkles will fall out, right? ;)
Tomorrow is an EDO and i have three appointments booked. My chiro adjustment, an eye test because i probably need new glasses and a hot stone massage :) It's been four years since i got new glasses and i am noticing my eyes getting more tired and strained so i think it's time. I was going to order my glasses online but i'm still a bit concerned about getting them fitted properly. One of my friends has gone to a local place, Wizard Optical, who do regular glasses for 89$ but any coatings are added on extra. And their price list said something about half frame moorings being an extra 40 dollars. Sheesh. I think that means if you get the frames that aren't completely around the lens, which was a style i was looking at maybe getting. The anti-glare covering is 70! No wonder they can offer glasses cheap. But i wouldn't get that anti-glare covering anyway. I did that once and found it made the glasses smear and get dirty very badly.
I'm going to go and see what they have at least, my friend says they have quite a lot of variety. I'm not getting bifocals or progressives so i should be able to take advantage of the cheaper price for the most part. I'm also planning to get prescription sunglasses. I can never get sunglasses to fit right on my face so this way i'll have good ones and they'll be something i'll wear more.
