Catchup on books. I've been really lucky so far this year, almost all the books I've read so far I have been able to give top marks or nearly top to on Goodreads. All generally very different from each other but excellent in their own ways.

4. Sharp Objects - Gillian Flynn
Excellent book. Her first novel. Dark and twisty.

5. The Other Story - Tatiana de Rosnay
Everyone says it's not as good as Sarah's Key. It's just different. It's a slow moving character study of a man who's let sudden fame and celebrity go to his head. Little by little, over the course of a weekend in an exclusive resort, the foundations of his high horse are chipped away.

6. Hollow City - Ransom Riggs
The sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children follows on from the last book. The little group of peculiars have to get to London to save Miss Peregrine from remaining in bird form. Lots of adventure and peculiarities :)

7. Tell - Frances Itani
lovely book about two relationships in 1919, one about a returned war vet and another a middle aged couple. Both have secrets and secret pain that affects their life and their relationships. Very well written.
