tvordljThe head cold still lingers. I just had a sneezing frenzy in the office. It's ok, as a raggedy peasant in a Monty Python film once said "I'm not dead yet. I feel betterrrrrrrr". I was tired last night after my first day back to work but do you think I could get to sleep last night? Could i heck. I'd be comfy and yet not enough to drop off. Or too warm. Or there was a noise. Or i just kept thinking of this and that. Grrrr.
PC guy is supposed to be coming tonight to pass over my data and there's one or two glitches I would like him to sort out as well. Got a blue screen last night in the middle of a Skype session and I think it might have to do with a video driver according to God Google. The malware programs keep finding stuff and the McAphee scans come up clean and yet it then pops up and tells me it's isolated a trojan. It's firewall isn't even supposed to let that stuff in. It came with a 3 month trial but I"m tempted to uninstall and stick with the Windows firewall and either Windows Defender or add AVG. I'll see what the tech suggests. Also my modem still cuts out briefly and they never came on Monday night like they said they would. I'll have to get back onto them. It happens mostly when i'm in Skype (and it has been happening through the laptop and the XP machine before that so it's not a new thing). I did determine that is wasn't anything to do with the wifi thingy because i had left the laptop hooked directly into the modem for a week to test it. The new lines they installed last week did improve things but it hasn't fixed it completely.
After a week of sunshine (though still mostly cold temps) we're in for our annual March snowstorm on Sunday. We always have one more good storm before the end of the season. From here on in, going by what usually happens, we could still get more snow but it won't be in huge portions and will likely rain away. This one probably won't. There's still a lot of ice around on the sidewalks and side roads with ice "potholes". Disgraceful.
