Okay - I know you love to travel so mine is a three-parter. What's the favorite place you've visited so far, and why? Has any trip disappointed you and if so, why? If you won a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Well my favourite place has to be the U.K. I've always been keen on UK history so it was the first place i headed for when i could finally afford to travel. I return over and over partly for that and now i have some very good friends that live there as well. There is always the dilemma of ...well there's so many other places i'd like to see yet... i want to see my friends and see some more of the UK...
Has a trip disappointed? Not overall. Bits of trips have... like this past one where i've gotten sick and missed out seeing London again and more importantly missed out meeting some LJ people in person because of it. The first trip i went on to the UK my traveling companion flew home the next day (long story) so i went on ahead on the bus tour by myself. It was disappointing but i still had a good time. How could i not? it was my dream to go to the UK and there i was!
Anywhere in the world? Probably Australia and New Zealand and more and more i think New Zealand would probably be even more spectacular than Aus. I have friends in both too so i can touch base. It's always so nice to actually know people in the places you visit so you can get a taste of real everyday life instead of just the touristy areas.
Heh - questions I REALLY wanted to ask but didn't think I should. What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you? Have you ever done something you are ashamed of? What and why? Would you change anything about yourself? If so, what and why? What are the best and worst things that have ever happened to you?
Mostly lolol but the embarassing thing i may answer over the weekend when i have time to write it. There have been many best things and i'd probably offend someone if they were involved in a best thing that i forgot to mention. Worst things are best left unsaid :) Then there are some bad things that still had a silver lining, like getting divorced .... i'm a much better person for coming out the other end on top even if the process over the years that led to it was often a bit of a struggle.
