Ping! Pong!
Jul. 6th, 2003 03:34 pmWe had our ping in Halifax this afternoon. Our Halifax Pingfests (derived from an irc mistype of pint) are more of a fan club meeting. Pings which are meetings of online people only are general less formal and involve a lot more alcohol, lasting well into the night/morning. Here we have a quiz, some other game, a raffle for prizes and a chat about the show. They start at about lunch time and go until 3ish or so. Good to see RKatherine and RKeith from Labrador as always. Katherine and Keith were at the very first Halifax pingfest 6 years ago, timed for their visit from Labrador.
We played a game called Who Am I, where the participant gets a sticky label on their back with the name of a character on it and they have to ask questions to figure out who they are. But the questions can only be the kind that are answered with a Yes or a No. Astonishingly all of the half dozen participants guessed their character within 4-6 questions and there was a tie so we had to have a tie breaker.
It's a gorgeous warm day with a lovely breeze. I should be outside at the pool is where i should be.
