It's a hot sunny day (finally) in Halifax and i'm over at the Halifax JazzFest at the Aliant internet booth! I'm going to hang out here for a little while then toddle up Spring Garden Road for a little escapism at the cinema. No news on my aunt and found out last night one of my cousin's has lung cancer. :( Need distraction. Nice to see the sun and feel the heat for a change.

Lovely afternoon. Listened to a little live blues at the Jazzfest, sitting in the lovely sun, saw an escapist movie (more on that later when i write up the review) came home and called my friends in Manchester who were gathered for a curry. I needed a bit of cheering up, worried about my aunt and now have found out that another cousin has a lung tumor. Don't know if they can operate or not, he'll be seeing a surgeon in a week or so. Peter is a lifelong heavy smoker and drinker and his mother died about 18 years ago from lung cancer as well. *sigh*

I'll go write the movie review and come back and post it.

Aunt is a little better. Slightly. I don't think she's out of the woods yet but they're slowly bringing her out of sedation and i guess they'll have to start managing the arthritis pain the because the stuff she was taking is now out of her system.
