Dec. 26th, 2004 05:02 pmTurkey sandwich, mayo, salt and pepper, cheese and Dad's homemade white bread. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Visit from Carolyn, my oldest bestest friend and her family. Her kids are nearly all grown up now too. One in high school and one just finishing and wanting to join the Air Force like his dad.
When i get home tonight or tomorrow i will upload the pics from the weekend, clear the digital card and recharge the batteries so i'll start the trip with a clear memory card and topped up power. I did see Shoppers Drug Mart has memory cards, 64 mb of various formats for 19.99 though. Sorely tempted to walk over and get a couple only it means going on the day that all the Boxing Day sales are on with no guarantee they'll have the one for the Sony as it's not as popular as the other formats. Could ring first. It will kill some time waiting until i can go to the airport about this time tomorrow night (squeeeeeeeee!!!!)
Last minute packing and probably a load of laundry too to do tonight or tomorrow. Most of it is all done though. Just last minute double checking. Passport..yep, £money.. yep, wallet changed over to the one i use for travel..yep. Got a book for the plane, my neck pillow, seat belt extender. Make sure the electronic stuff like cameras and phone and charger are in hand luggage to minimize chance of losing them. I even have my memory card reader and cd for the driver packed rather than bring my usb cable and chance losing that.
It's not that big a deal to forget something, it's not like i can't get it over there. I don't need to overpack on the clothes (shurrup you lot! Zelda stop encouraging them! ;) ) because i should make sure i have room for new ones in the sales :) I know Manchester had a white Christmas but i'm not, i repeat, i refuse to bring my boots. It's going to rain there tomorrow anyway.
I'm excited. oh yes. because i'm leaving in ONE FREAKIN DAY!
