Oct. 23rd, 2005 06:52 pmAnother day of rain lashing down.
It was the autumn Corrie "ping" (aka fan club gathering) of about 120 at a local pub/restaurant. Won a little fridge magnet that a friend had made and i'm going to go find some of that magnetic stuff, a sheet of it you can get with an adhesive side and then you print a picture on photo paper and put it together. I want to make some. I'll have to have a look through my photos and see what might make some nice little magnets.
We had a look around the flea market too. My friend picked up a lot of craft magazines but i didn't see anything that jumped off the table and screamed Buy Me!
Dad's not that good today, he's still anxious and agitated. Worried about everything. It's hard to see him like that. He is allowed Ativan which is a sort of Valium if he wants it but he won't ask for it. He says it comes and goes and you can't get him to understand that if he takes one, it won't come.
As to that post from yesterday, about Bauhaus songs, i found most of the ones people mentioned and i found a live version of Passion of Lovers which i did like but i still like that industrial remix better.
naturalbornkaos is certain that isn't Bauhaus but there was a cover cd out, called the Passion of Covers and that was done by The Shroud. I haven't been able to find it under their name on P2P but it could be that. S'good though. I find that the Bauhaus are mostly a bit too "punk" for me. That's the only way i know how to describe it. I do like the Ziggy cover, Dark Entries, Kick in the Eye, She's In Parties and i think i liked Sanity Assassin. Those were the ones i've kept in my music folder anyway. Couldn't get hold of any Peter Murphy or Tones on Tail or David J today. I have them noted though and will try again. Thanks though, for the suggestions! I think i'll see if i can find some more Love and Rockets too. I have about a half dozen of those if they're all *really* L&R lol After finding out yesterday that several really weren't, unsurprisingly, i'm dubious lol
