Interview by [livejournal.com profile] gramie_dee with some hard yet amusing questions!

1) You have just written the ultimate computer program ever. What does it do, how will it benefit the human race and more importantly, what will its brand name be?
See, that's difficult. If you eliminate hunger, then you have a population explosion on your hands. Same thing if you eliminate disease. Yet those would be the most benefit to the world in general. Eliminate religion? So many wars and acts of terrorism seem to use religion as an excuse but you know, it's not really about that, is it? It's about power. But someone has to be in charge or it would be total chaos. Maybe if you could eliminate the gene that causes greed, you might solve a lot of problems because power wouldn't be so important. It would probably have a trickle down effect to help with many of the other problems.
2) Wow, you've just been discovered by a top Granada TV producer!!!!! He wants you to start appearing in Coronation Street and he's even asked you to create the character that
you will play. Who will you be? Name, description and debut plot line please.

The character is a Canadian woman named Hazel Brown. She buys the Kabin in a retirement sale and sets about ruffling feathers by spreading gossip worse than Hilda, Norris, Vera and Audrey in their collective heydays combined but yet is so subtle about it that nobody realizes the trouble is coming from her. She has a mysterious past, does not reveal much about herself but over time we, the viewers, discover that she is related to one of the more famous residents to ever have walked the cobbles. Who could that be??? Why is she here? Curious about her roots or bent on revenge? Stay tuned!
3) If your life was made in to a movie what would it be called and which actress would play you?
It would definitely be a chick flick, full of relationships, travel, friends, laughter, a journey to self confidence, and a surprise twist ending. Titled, My Entry For the Week, the lead character, me, would be played by Camryn Manheim, a woman of generously sexy proportions and loads of confidence.
4)You are given a choice; a lifetime of travelling the world as a pauper, or become a multi millionaire but never ever leave your country again. Which would it be?
As long as i had enough money to put a roof over my head and buy basics to eat, i would travel the world.
5) Alan Rickman, Clive Owen and Will Smith knock on your door piled high with flowers, candy and chocolates. Do you say:
(a) Okay guys give me a minute while I get changed
(b) Sorry guys I'm washing my hair tonight
(c) Hey losers go boil your heads in a volcano, [livejournal.com profile] gramie_dee is the guy for me

What kind of chocolates?... oh... er.. yes... I say Sorry guys [livejournal.com profile] gramie_dee is washing my hair tonight but thanks for the flowers, candy and chocolates. We'll enjoy them, cause, you know, he's the only guy for me :)

I had two uncles that served at sea during WWII, one as an officer in the navy and one in the Merchant Marines. Both came back. My grandfather was too young to serve in WWI, being a young teen at the time, just 16 when the war was over. Yet, i agree with [livejournal.com profile] girfan, while i object to war, i honour the people that served their country.

November 11 is a national holiday in Canada. Here in Nova Scotia, not only are banks, offices closed, government offices included, but also retail malls and shops and grocery stores are shut as well. Most provinces in Canada have retail shopping on Sunday so (and i'm not certain) but i think today their shops don't open until after 11 o'clock. Even our bus drivers are meant to pull over at 11 for 2 minutes of silence to show respect. There are services in various locations around the city this morning though i've never gone to any. I do get a poppy and wear it all week.

Oh. And in 1988, on this date, my divorce was final. While it isn't in the same league and not nearly as important as remeberence for the men and women that died in war, it is fitting that the death of a bad marriage have today as it's anniversary.

1. Have you ever been to the ocean?
Um i was born, grew up and still live by the ocean in Nova Scotia.

2. When is the last time you wore a swimsuit? About a year and a half ago i would say. Last time i took a deep water aerobics class at the pool.

3. Do you respect people more for staying through difficult times or knowing when to call it quits?
It would depend on what the difficulties are. I think you should stay at least giving it your best try but if it's a matter of safety, get your ass out of Dodge City!

4. Name a TV show that made a huge splash in the beginning, but has since gone downhill:
I don't watch a lot of the trendy new shows like Lost or Invasion but Desparate Housewives doesn't seem to be as catchy this season as it was last year.

5. Have you ever eaten shark?
Yes i think i did have a shark steak at a restaurant in Dublin.

And today's painting, a remote lighthouse.
