I don't usually get that political and i'm not *really* about to now, but a link from another journal had me baffled, laughing, astonished and shaking my head. Apparently the US "war on terrorism" is going to be called the "Long War"... rebranding, if you will. This article is full of bafflegab about the future of the US military involvement in the wars in the middle east but what it seems to come down to is, although they foresee themselves involved in this Long War for 20 years, and they know they have to change how they are involved, it's still just an idea. i.e. "the vision is not yet fully realized". The article is just bafflegab on so many levels.

Still highly impressed by my niece's winning of a scholarship. Going to make her high school graduation even more special. I know Dad's spirit is here doing a happy dance for her. My nephew finishes his long, hard, two year course this month too! He's put so much hard work into it and done really well! I think for the immediate future, he's going to take a full time job in the hotel where he's been working part time. He wants to get an apartment and back out on his own.

Am down to the last bare necessities on my desk. Computer, phone, desk calendar, pens, paper, teabags and cup. These will go in the "last minute box along with the mouse and keyboard, teabags and cup on top. Priorities. *poof* there go the desk and wall calendars. Got to pack the telephone book that the monitor is on top of as well. Next Tuesday should be chaotic.

Got my new chair today. Nice :)
Had a massage this morning. Shoulders are much more comfortable.

And it's a beyoootiful spring day outside. I shall walk in the sunshine after work.
