gramie_dee arrives in October...
For Toronto:
See about getting advance tickets for the CN Tower, Maid of the Mist and possibly the Hop on Hop off city tour
Reserve rental car for back here after Toronto
Get tickets to the metal gig ("Black Label Bezercus") After last year's canceled Slayer concert, i still owed him one so this means we're even! He thinks there might even be one or two of the bands playing that i'll like. I may get earplugs just to take the edge off though. ;) We'll see.
Busy weekend, too. An Annual General Meeting on Sunday and then a barbeque after was very nice and yesterday i took Mom's car back to her and we went to lunch with her cousin and her cousin's daughter, both whom i'd not met before. The daughter, B, (also a cousin, obviously) is about my age and lives in Ontario and seemed quite nice.
I can't beleive it's the last week of August pretty much. This summer has gone by quite fast. Two more weeks and it's Labour Day weekend! But then it will only be a month before Graham gets here so that's good, too! Then there's the long winter to wait before we see each other again in May. Those seem to be the best months for us for travel, May and October (or November if he can't get his holidays in October). September weather is even nicer but then it makes for such a long stretch until the spring again and it's always a bit chilly and rainy in April. Plus it is still possible for bad weather to delay flights out of Halifax, especially at the start of the month. He has to book his holidays wayyy in advance. It's not so difficult for me as it's more flexible and also i have seniority over the rest of my team if there was a conflict which doesn't happen too often since i don't usually take summer holidays when everyone else does.
