[livejournal.com profile] naturalbornkaos had an interesting post here for a movie "meme"... Basically, in case you haven't seen his post, you have a 24 hour film festival for charity, you need to pick 12 movies to watch. What are they and in what order would you show them?

1. Shirley Valentine (quite possibly my all time favourite)
2. Shallow Grave
3. Antonia's Line (Dutch film from the mid 90's, feminist and chicky but has an element of the surreal as well, and from here we'll jump to...)
4. Richard III (Olivier's version, he's so cheesy he just has to be festivalized!)
5. The Talented Mr. Ripley (Don't normally like Matt Damon but he really suited the psycho Ripley)
6. Labyrinth (Bowie!)
7. Ghostbusters (Bill Murray's face watching the chick levitate is priceless!)
8. Blue Velvet (going to need weirdness by this time)
9. An Awfully Big Adventure (then going to need a bit of "normalcy" but i couldn't not have Alan Rickman in the lineup :)
10. Cold Comfort Farm (definitely quirky enough to fit in)
11. All About Eve (classic!)
12. Alien

Does anyone use Semagic for posting to LJ? Ange? How do i get the icon list updated?

Richard III - surely it's got to be the Ian Mackelan version?!

[Semagic : log out and log back in again to update the icon list - and make sure that you have keywords set for them before you do. That didn't trip me up at all. Ever. Honest guv. ]

The Ian Mac version is indeed very good, but i went for "cheesy" for the film fest feeling. Made for more of a variety in the list too. Give them cheese and give them Shakespeare :)

I'll try that Semagic logout/in tonight, thanks!!

Hmmm - I dunno, mine updates itself. I noticed on the Semagic journal home page that there was a problem with one of the downloads and they fixed it and put out another version. Perhaps you got the "bad" version? Might be worth checking, at any rate.
