Might be a lonnnnng day

We have a demo for IBM Websphere that starts at 9:00 and could go on past lunchtime or longer depending on how the demo goes and how many questions we have. This is a development software tool that we might use to write java programs. None of us of course knows how to program in java yet so i'm anticipating a bit of it being over my head unless the person doing the demo is very patient. Started reading a java book but have only got as far as reading the theory of object oriented programming. I just don't read computer manuals for fun like some folk i know LOL! In fact i don't usually RTFM at all unless i'm desparately stuck. ;) Tomrrow there is a demo on the other tool, Jbuilder but that one is a web demo rather than a real human being. That company is pretty large too, why won't they send a person here to do the demo? IBM has an office here in Halifax. we'll see what they have to offer. Have not participated in a web demo before so it might be interesting. There must be a way to ask questions, i'm sure there's a warm body at the other end somewhere. December 1!!!! When you're a kid time goes so slowly, it seems to take forever to get through a week and now it's a blink of an eye. I'll wait for year end to list all the highs and lows of this year but it's had it's ups and downs hasn't it? the standouts were: downs... health concerns. ups... lots of travel :)
