Holy Snowflake Batman!

tvordljI'm really getting tired of winter. I should have been born in Greece or someplace like that.
However, my friends Connie and Martin have made the trip down from Amherst where it wasn't snowing this morning. They drove into the storm but were nearly to Halifax by that time. I'm going to scoot out of the office at 3:30 (my normal 7 hour day end time... i work until 4 for the flex schedule) We're going to meet up and have an early dinner. I'll make up the time tomorrow and a bit next week as well. That will allow me to sit out the worst of the commuter traffic and get the busses a chance to get back on schedule.
The snow has stopped quite suddenly at the moment but i've heard the roads were not very driveable so i hope they decide to stay in town overnight as it's a 2 and a half hour drive up the highway and over Folly Mountain where it's bound to be treacherous. (ok, not a mountain by Alp standards by any means).
