Brr... it's frosty out there but it hasn't snowed yet like it was forecast. Which was good because i got to go to the hospital after work. I took Dad in a small container of potato salad and a butter tart so if his supper looked like something the cat horked up like it did the other day, he'll have an alternative. He's had a lot of company the last two days so he was tired today. I didn't stay too long, just about 20 minutes or so. He was pleased to see me though :) I was the first visitor today. Mom had an earache and hadn't had much sleep last couple of nights so stayed home. He told me he had been thinking about something. See, Dad has always loved playing the lottery so he asked if i would get a lottery ticket every year on his birthday. *gulp* I think that would indeed be a nice thing to do, actually.

[livejournal.com profile] gramie_dee did some Photoshop wizarding to a scan of a photo of Dad i sent him and i had it printed to a 5x7 today and it looks very good! Mom wanted it for a frame for the service and to have after. I tried to find a frame on Spring Garden but the ones i liked they didn't have in the size i wanted. Just as well, i think Mom wants a silver frame for it anyway.

Half day at work tomorrow. Pick up the car, some groceries and go to Mom's. Maybe go to see my cousin tomorrow night, she's coming over for the weekend from PEI.

"if his supper looked like something the cat horked up "

ROFL - what a good description! One of the first meals they brought Brian last September, when he was finally allowed to eat (and choked on just about everything, was a honking great dish of beef stew. He could barely look at it, let alone get it down. :)

Hope your Mom's earache feels better soon!
